Dmx Lighting Control Software Mac
This is a great application
If you’re looing for midi or theatrical style cue based control of dmx lighting, this is it! This app features patching of any address to any of the 48 control channels. Midi notes and commands can also be attached to any control channel, master, submaster, and cue buttons. MSC can control cues. I use this app on a weekly basis for at least three hours in a live setting and an haven’t had any sort of crashes EVER since I started using it in 2012. I feel like the app producer listens to suggestions for features, even if there haven’t been any updates in a while.
I’ve used this app in both a busking concert setting and a pre-programmed theatrical setting. I used a midi controller to bump channels, and control cues. It runs smoothly from midi with virtually no delay. Cues can have fade times and all fades play smoothly on the machines I’ve run this on. I’ve tested with Enttec Open DMX USB, Enttec USB DMX Pro, and DMX King DMX RDM Pro (my personal favorite) All three interface with this program perfectly.) This program also recieves art-net commands which is a feature that is nice sometimes but can interfere other times, especially if you have this program running on two machines on the same network. Would love to see an option to ignore Art-Net input, but still be able to output artnet. The artnet remote app for iPhone works well too.

Excellent product and value
I’ve been playing around with the free version of this app with some lightbars and a DMX King Micro. The pro app works exactly the same, just with more channels, scenes, etc. The one thing that doesn’t seem to work is entering descriptions in the Patch Bay. Not a big deal at all - this doesn’t have anything to do with the functionality of app.
If you’re looking for a “what you see is what you get” app with reliablity at an EXCELLENT cost (look around - this kind of software gets REAL expensive), this is for you!

Do you need a DMX controller? BUY THIS.
This is one of the most amazing pieces of software I have ever used. I am actually taking the time to write a review, and trust me. I NEVER do that.
It is so easy to set up. You plug in a dmx converter (In my case this is the Enttec Open DMX USB converter, Which I highly reccomend.) I pluged in my DMX cable, started the software and viola. I have full control of the lighting setup in any DMX situation wether it be a stage setting, DJ, etc.
Very easy to use. Control the channels and when you have them the way you want them, right click a pre-set slider and press 'set from channels'. Then you have your pre-set. It is really really easy and a blast to use. The developer should be really proud of himself. I had the free version and after 10 minutes of using it I bought the Pro version. A $32.99 I would spend again without hesitation.
Thank you for such a wonderful product. Keep it up!
